Most overweight people look for any possible means to help them lose weight. A body cleanse is one example. A body cleanse is simply a laxative with a different name and a high price tag. Instead of putting laxatives into yourself, why not consider a total body cleanse instead. This is a toxin and preservative free method for cleaning the toxins and fecal matter from your intestinal tract.
When you decide to go the natural cleansing route, you eliminate everything artificial that you would normally have in your diet. A minor dietary change will often provide major changes in your weight. You only need to know a few minor principles to do body cleansing using natural means. Natural methods are less harmful to the body. You can maintain the new eating habits for as long as needed to get to your ideal weight. Avoid laxatives, as they can be harmful if taken for extended periods.
Begin your body clean process by increasing your intake of water. You should only use pure water. Colas, flavored waters and juices don’t count toward your daily quota of water. You should plan on drinking at least six to eight bottles of water each day. Avoid any artificial ingredients in the water or in the foods that you eat while in the period of the body cleanse.
While undergoing the natural cleanse, your breakfast should consist of only fresh fruit. Fruit not only contains vital nutrients, it contains plenty of water in the fruit. The fruit will help you to push the toxins out of your digestive system. The fruit should not have preservatives or sweeteners of any kind, natural or otherwise. Dense fruits are preferable to soft fruits. Dense foods give you additional fiber to help cleanse the digestive tract.
Lunch, dinner and snacks should also consist of fresh fruits, but you can also add fresh raw vegetables. Don’t allow any preservatives, or other seasonings to be included in the diet for the cleansing period. The release of toxins from the body and intestinal tract can still be sidetracked if you are taking in more of the same in your daily diet.
Besides eliminating preservatives and toxins from your diet, you also avoid oils, dressing and salt during the cleansing period. Choose plenty of raw vegetables in your diet. Keep adding fresh fruit to maintain the cleansing for an entire week.
During the time that you are using natural cleansing, the weight loss is likely to be significant. Initial weight loss is water weight. When you drink extra water, you keep dehydration at bay. The fiber in the fruits and vegetables also help to keep the digestive processes moving. Water weight loss is usually significant and may be sudden.
After a week on the natural body cleanse, you can begin re-introducing low fat proteins and high fiber carbohydrates into the diet. You should not add foods too rapidly, since that will be defeating the purpose of the body cleansing. When you stay with the eating practices initiated during the cleanse, you can get the weight off and keep it off.
